Disappointed

I just don't understand some people, you would think that when you were looking to by property you would know and understand what it takes to actually purchase it. Well I guess the air heads that bid on my place didn't think about that. They told the realtor they were sure they could get the financing, all they need to get was just a pre-approval letter sent over from their bank. What a bunch of liars.......they never did a pre-approval, they couldn't get qualified and they didn't know that when you buy rental property you HAVE to have 20% down and they only had 10%.

Whatever, well, the loan fell through so my place now isn't sold. Guess we'll be there a little longer. I guess its nice not knowing that we are "homeless" for a few weeks anymore. It just better sell by the time the winning bid is announced, because that is all we have left going for us right now, is Grandma's house. We need that house. Its the perfect house for us and we are looking forward to fixing it up and keeping it in our family for years and years and years. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

So much going on.....

Well, we did it, we sold my condo!!!! We have to move out by May 26th. We are going to move back into my old bedroom for the time being. We are placing a bid on Taylor's Grandma's house out on 25, its going for contract for deed and only family members can bid. We think we have a pretty good chance of getting it, we are keeping our fingers crosses and saying our prayers. We place our bid on May 15 and then we find out who got it on June 1. It needs a lot of work, but its a HUGE victorian style home with beautiful woodwork and LOTS of potential, and not to mention 4 acres of land and some buildings, we are thinking we could handle some chickens and maybe some horses for fun!

So, if the bid doesn't go through, we will start house hunting like crazy, we are keeping our eyes peeled for possible places right now for back up.

On top of all of this house stuff, we finalized our guest list, its such a hard task, making sure you didn't forget anyone, how do people do it! Mom and I are heading out to get the paper next week so hopefully we can get those started as well. I figure the sooner I can get them done the more time I will have this summer to get my house, whichever house it is, ready to be lived in.

So we really have our plates full right now. I've got dance meetings already starting and we are planning for fundraisers and camp. Taylor is finishing up student teaching and is already starting his job hunt. Please keep him in your prayers as there is a middle school math position open in the Lakeville district that he REALLY has his eye on. He's applied and he is hoping that with him student teaching there it will give him the "in" he needs.

The Meeting....

This is the BIG meeting. Both of our parents and us sat down together to get everything organized and to make sure we were all on the same page. I was a bit nervous for this meeting but in the end it was GREAT!

Out with the girls

Here is the gang getting ready to go and try on dresses! We all went down to Rochester's David's Bridal and everyone ordered their dress and shoes and then we went out for a treat at Culver's. In the picture is Trista, Robynn, Danielle, Emilee, Holly, Jenae, Mindi, Megan, and baby Grace. We met up with Kelsey and her mom as they were down their shopping, and Bekki had to work, so she ordered her's the day before.

Planning

Well, I'm getting there. I've met with pretty much everyone that I need to meet with, besides Peggy for the tuxes, but that's Taylor's deal, I'll just be riding with to make sure he gets the right stuff! :) So really the only thing we have left to do right now is finalize the guest list and get the stuff for my invitations. My plan is to hopefully have them all made and ready to send out before June so that I don't have to worry about it over the summer and all I have to do is drop them in the mail when its time to send them off. Everyone is so busy and is running all over the country over the summer and I don't want to have to sit home and make invitations when its beautiful out and I could just be sitting in the sun at a baseball game, or mom and dad could be out camping. So, we have the time now, might as well get it all taken care of.

I am really getting excited, with all the talk about bridal showers and fun days with the girls, and getting my nails done.....I just can't wait! But I am going to cherish every single minute of this whole experience because this day only comes once in a lifetime, and its been the day I have been dreaming about ever since I was a little girl sitting in my room and planning a wedding for Barbie and Ken. Now its my turn to be "Barbie" and my dream is finally coming true. And my "Ken" is the most perfect person for me and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my Taylor!
